The laboratory’s main goal is to support and promote scientific research in the areas of agricultural genetics and plant breeding.
Using modern methodologies, we perform basic and applied research related to the study of genetic diversity, the correlation between genotypic and phenotypic profiles, the discovery of genetic polymorphisms and the expression of genes controlling quantitative and qualitative traits in both cultivated and wild growing plants.
The state-of-the-art research equipment is used for the completion of M.Sc. and Ph.D. dissertations, as well as for the implementation of funded competitive research grants and studies.
